A better way to help a person in need

Most of us have the same recurring dilemma – a person begging at your car window at the robot or someone ringing your gate bell to ask for money. And we don’t want to give money, because it is misused in almost all cases.

To help people in the correct way, you can now purchase a R200 voucher booklet, with separate R20 vouchers, to hand to someone in need. You can give the whole booklet, or R20 at a time. This booklet is provided by ChangeNetSA and it can be purchased at their Warehouse/Poverty Crusaders clothing store, cnr. Union and Naudé Streets, Bethlehem.

These vouchers are redeemable, by the needy recipients, for clothing or food, at the Warehouse.

The Poverty Police, part of ChangeNetSA, will assess and document these persons in their docket system, aiming to start a “We Care” relationship with them. The ultimate goal is to help people start a new life, outside of the cycle of poverty. ChangeNetSA is geared to assist them with this in all aspects of life.

Call Justice Scott on 061 5342311 for additional information, or if you would like to become involved at any level.
